Job description

The IT Manager is responsible for the daily administration, monitoring, maintenance, support, optimization, security, and end-user training for all systems related to technology. He or she should understand emerging Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) trends and applications, anticipate what team members need from information services, and proactively ensure that technology is highly effective, stable, and user-friendly. The IT Supervisor is passionate about technology, works collaboratively to address the needs and deficiencies in the office, and advocates for innovation and improvement in IT services and support. The IT Manager will collaborate with outsourced IT support, programmers, and vendors. This is an on-site position, with occasional travel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (this is not an exhaustive list of functions):

  • Collaborate with department heads to provide new and improved ways to perform work duties and assist in problem-solving.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, including security for biometric and alarm systems and critical patches, enterprise (ERP) backup procedures, LINUX, Windows, and network monitoring through the use of firewalls in partnership with outsourced IT services.
  • Provide technical support for software and hardware issues. Identify the root source of processing failures and procedural errors, and consult with vendors and specialists to isolate, analyze, and correct system faults.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for new and existing ERP Systems, managing user support, system maintenance, and configuration while also performing inventory transactions and data corrections to support end users and maintain operational accuracy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service for staff, both in person and remotely, ensuring that they know how to use the technology tools available to them so they can perform their jobs effectively.
  • Develop and implement training for staff and others to ensure proper usage and understanding of computer equipment, software, and systems.
  • Maintain security of all company data and establish and administer complete business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response plans for all systems, applications, and data.
  • Periodically audit installed software to ensure compliance with commercial licensing requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of the internal network, switching infrastructure, and internet connectivity.
  • Collaborate in the maintenance of company websites.
  • Set up or move computers, laptops and docking stations, monitors, keyboards, cell phones, printers and copiers as needed. Assist remote or teleworkers with application or peripheral connectivity issues.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for troubleshooting video conferencing issues and other connectivity issues.
  • Ability to troubleshoot desktop and/or server hardware and software-related issues.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain M365 suite offerings such as Entra, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ensure performance, uptime, maintenance, backup, and upgrade of servers, databases, networks, cloud systems, collaboration platforms, network and storage infrastructure.
  • Ensure disaster recovery plans are updated, tested, and incorporated into operational processes.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle planning, replacement cycles, and upgrade coordination to align with business and operational needs.
  • Manage software procurement, licensing, upgrades, and retirement to align with business and operational needs.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation within AI initiatives for the organization.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Networking equipment (troubleshooting support)?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Self-starter.

  • Ability to identify opportunities and effectively partner with outsourced IT services to implement progress in conjunction with organizational values, strategies, and objectives.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and effectively communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to comprehend written technical procedures and provide support to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot networking issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Practical and functional understanding of JavaScript, MSSQL coding
  • Practical and functional experience with S4/HANA database.
  • Understand IP networking (SD-WAN, VPN, VoIP).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science is a plus
  • Additional technical certifications are also a plus (CISSP, MCSE, CCNA).
