Diocesan is seeking a Website Consultation Specialist to join our Digital Products Team. This role serves as a trusted advisor to Roman Catholic dioceses, parishes, schools, and nonprofit organizations throughout the country, helping them evaluate their digital presence and identify website solutions that align with their goals.
If you're comfortable meeting with clients, conducting website audits, uncovering opportunities for improvement, and guiding organizations through the website planning process, we'd love to meet you.
Candidates must live within a reasonable daily commutable distance to Byron Center, Michigan, to be considered.
About the Role
As a Website Consultation Specialist, you will serve as a primary point of contact for prospective website clients. You'll conduct discovery meetings, perform website audits, evaluate client needs, and recommend website solutions that help Catholic organizations better achieve their mission.
This is not a highly scripted sales position. Success in this role requires someone who is comfortable thinking independently, adapting to changing priorities, and building authentic relationships with clients. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys solving problems, communicating with people, and taking ownership of their responsibilities without needing constant direction.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail are critical. You'll often be balancing multiple opportunities, follow-up tasks, client conversations, travel plans, and internal projects simultaneously. The ability to stay organized while maintaining a high level of professionalism is essential.
In addition to virtual meetings, this position includes occasional travel for onsite client visits, conferences, trade shows, and company events. You will often serve as a representative of Diocesan and should be comfortable presenting information, leading discussions, and building trust with prospective clients.
While much of your time will be spent conducting consultations and preparing recommendations, you'll also work closely with internal teams to ensure client needs are accurately communicated and projects are positioned for success from the very beginning., * Conduct website discovery meetings with prospective clients.
- Perform comprehensive website audits and evaluations.
- Identify opportunities to improve website usability, accessibility, content organization, and overall effectiveness.
- Present website recommendations and solutions to dioceses, parishes, schools, and nonprofit organizations.
- Gather requirements and document project scope accurately.
- Assist with proposal development and project planning.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and project information within company systems.
- Collaborate with internal design, development, and project management teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to production.
- Represent Diocesan at conferences, trade shows, onsite client meetings, and industry events.
- Travel occasionally for onsite consultations, conferences, and company events.
- Manage multiple projects and conversations simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Take ownership of assigned opportunities from initial conversation through project handoff.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Typical business hours are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Occasional travel required
- Occasional evening meetings, conference attendance, or client events may be necessary
Requirements

- Working knowledge of WordPress websites and website best practices is preferred.
- Ability to understand client goals and translate them into actionable website recommendations.
- Comfortable speaking with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with strong follow-through and accountability.
- Strong public speaking, presentation, training, or classroom leadership experience.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with a wide variety of stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Comfortable traveling and representing the company at conferences, trade shows, and client meetings., * Experience in education, teaching, website sales, digital consulting, account management, project scoping, admissions, fundraising, ministry leadership, or similar consultative roles.
- Experience with WordPress, website content management, or web development.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipelines.
- Experience presenting to groups or leading client meetings.
- Familiarity with Roman Catholic terminology, ministries, schools, and diocesan structures is preferred but not required., * WordPress: 1 year preferred
- Website consulting, account management, sales, or client-facing experience preferred
- Teachers, educators, ministry leaders, admissions professionals, and consultative sales professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Experience as an educator or sales professional is highly valued, and we encourage teachers and education professionals with strong communication and organizational skills to apply.
- Experience working for a Catholic parish, school, diocese, ministry, or other Catholic organization is highly valued. Candidates with firsthand knowledge of Catholic communities, ministries, and organizational structures are encouraged to apply., * Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
