PHP Developer

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Backend Laravel Software Engineer to support the development and enhancement of enterprise web applications. This role focuses on designing scalable backend services, building RESTful APIs, optimizing database performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions., * Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Laravel and PHP.

• Build and support RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and third-party systems.
• Write efficient, scalable, and secure code following best practices.
• Optimize MySQL database structures, queries, and application performance.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Troubleshoot application issues and implement long-term solutions.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise with PHP and Laravel framework.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong MySQL/database design and query optimization skills.
• Experience with Git version control and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of software architecture, security, and scalability principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
• Familiarity with React, Vue.js, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
