You will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist (INFOSEC) at the GG-13 level installing, configuring, administering, maintaining, and tuning a multitude of cyber protective tools. This position is located in Suitland, MD at HOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER., * You will install, configure, administer, maintain, and tune a multitude of cyber protective tools.
- You will create content, correlate events and mine data, through either creating custom scripts or utilizing GUI interfaces, for overlooked attack vectors/unknown vulnerabilities.
- You will perform digital forensics to uncover violations of security and/or applicable policies.
- You will lead project management efforts by working with other departments and external companies to shepherd procurement.
- You will perform the proper planning, design/development, integration/testing, installation, and documentation of new or replacement cyber security solutions.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 511 level 02 within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- This position may be subject to polygraph examination.
- Shift work may or may not be required (24-hour/7day operations, rotating shifts from 9 to 13 hours)., 1. Plans, acquires, installs, and maintains complex IT systems across varied platforms. Ensures system interoperability, optimizes data transfers, and manages the complete data lifecycle (storage, transmission, quality assurance) to meet operational requirements.
- Oversees Security Architecture, Cloud Security, DevSecOps, and OS/Network Administration. Assesses system vulnerabilities, reviews risk assessments, and ensures compliance with certification and accreditation standards. Conducts digital forensics across various devices and memory storage.
- Diagnoses and resolves complex hardware, software, and network issues. Advises users, conducts interviews to define technical requirements for new or modified systems, and provides ongoing guidance to resolve processing problems.
- Evaluates and recommends new IT commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products and methodologies. Interprets IT policies and implements scripting and automation to enhance system operations and capabilities.

Do you have experience in Technology management?, Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
