We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Network and IT Integration Engineer - Customer Projects to join our growing engineering team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of customer projects involving enterprise networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, servers, wireless technologies, fiber infrastructure, video systems, audio systems, and integrated communications platforms.
Unlike a traditional IT support role, this position combines hands-on engineering, project implementation, customer engagement, technical documentation, and system integration responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering technology solutions from initial planning and design through installation, testing, customer acceptance, and long-term support.
In addition to supporting customer projects, this role will assist with maintaining and enhancing SAS's internal IT infrastructure and cybersecurity environment. During the initial phase of employment, the engineer will have significant involvement in supporting SAS's NIST 800-171 and CMMC-compliant environment. As those initiatives mature, the position will transition to primarily supporting customer integration projects while continuing to provide technical expertise for internal systems and compliance efforts.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Network and IT Integration Engineer - Customer Projects, you will work directly with customers, vendors, project managers, and fellow engineers to deploy and support complex technology solutions., * Designing, configuring, integrating, testing, and supporting customer technology solutions.
- Installing and troubleshooting enterprise networking equipment, servers, virtualization platforms, wireless systems, cybersecurity tools, and supporting infrastructure.
- Participating in customer site surveys, technical demonstrations, installations, acceptance testing, and training activities.
- Managing project schedules, technical deliverables, and customer communications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation including network diagrams, system architecture drawings, rack elevations, test plans, bills of materials, inventories, user guides, and project reports.
- Supporting cybersecurity deliverables including vulnerability assessments, system hardening, compliance documentation, and security-related reporting.
- Assisting the sales team with technical presentations, demonstrations, proposals, RFIs, and RFP responses.
- Providing post-installation technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers.
- Supporting internal IT infrastructure including networking, servers, virtualization platforms, cloud services, security systems, and endpoint devices.
- Assisting with cybersecurity, monitoring, patch management, backup management, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems integration?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys solving technical challenges, learning new technologies, and working directly with customers. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail., * 3+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, IT Infrastructure, System Integration, or a related technical field.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or another STEM-related discipline.
- Experience supporting enterprise networking environments including routing, switching, wireless, VPNs, firewalls, and network security technologies.
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems, servers, virtualization platforms, and cloud-based services.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience creating technical documentation and customer-facing deliverables.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
- CCNA certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire. Additional certifications such as CCNP, Security+, VMware, and Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
Additional Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal customer requirements.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance if required.
- Valid U.S. Passport required.
- Ability to travel throughout the United States as required for customer projects, demonstrations, and installations.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year, * 401(k)
