Design Engineer in Thomasville

• Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to schedule and quality standards and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate customer requirements into technical specifications and actionable project plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize Centek's pre-established engineering processes, workflows, and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in engineering design and development.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex engineering issues, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Communicate project status, issues, and risks to both customers and internal senior stakeholders.

• Proven track record leading complex technical projects from requirements through handoff to manufacturing or implementation.
• Strong understanding of fluid/thermal concepts related to exhaust and ventilation (backpressure, head loss, temperature, airflow, etc.) or demonstrated ability to learn quickly with Centek's training and Technical Process Overview resources.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks ) and comfort working with detailed models and drawings as part of the design and quoting process.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Epicor (or similar ERP) and CRM.
• Excellent communication skills-able to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple inquiries and projects simultaneously in a structured, process-driven environment.
• Proven ability to effectively manage resource allocation, workload balancing, and project prioritization to meet business objectives.
