Job description

Performs a variety of analytical and technical tasks relating to installation, implementation, operation, and maintenance of in-house computer services and systems. Performs as an Information Technology (IT) team member and works within team structure to promote quality IT Department and College services to customers/partners while achieving respective goals, objectives, and mission. Performs a variety of technical duties related to implementation and maintenance of in-house computer services, systems and equipment., * Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware/software, peripherals and networked products.

  • Utilize ticketing systems to maintain service tickets.
  • Create and maintains computer images. Images new and re-purposed computers
  • Assist in inventory control, inventory identification, and surplus of excess equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

SHARED IT RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Performs as an Information Technology (IT) team member and works within team structure to promote quality IT Department and College services to customers/partners while achieving respective goals, objectives, and mission.\
  • Assists users to understand software applications, orients, and trains users in software applications.
  • Supports faculty and staff with IT related issues and focuses on developing highly interactive relationships through customer service skills.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Customer communication?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High School Diploma or equivalent., * Certification from a Technical College.

  • Two (2) years of PC/LAN experience.
  • Basic understanding of PC architecture and operation of both hardware and software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, students, and the public.
  • Ability to work independently and manage work assignments in a high interpersonal contact environment.
  • Ability to deal effectively with stress caused by work load and time deadlines.
