Memory.net is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Operations Support Associate to join our Quality Control and Logistics team. This multifaceted role is designed for a disciplined professional who excels in a dynamic environment and is eager to develop a technical foundation in enterprise computing hardware.
The successful candidate will serve as a versatile "floater," rotating between Product Inspection, Hardware Testing, and Shipping Support based on daily operational priorities. We are looking for a self-starter who takes initiative during downtime and maintains a high standard of excellence in every task.
Primary Responsibilities
- Product Inspection & Technical Refurbishment (TLC)
A significant portion of the daily workflow involves the meticulous restoration of memory modules to meet company standards.
- Refurbishment: Utilize specialized tools to refurbish contact points, ensuring optimal electrical performance and presentation.
- Detailing: Carefully remove non-relevant secondary labels and perform light cleaning of hardware components.
- Quality Grading: Identify cosmetic and functional imperfections and ensure all modules align with our established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Hardware Testing Support
Under the guidance of the QC team, you will assist in the technical validation of DDR3, DDR4, and DDR5 memory.
- Hardware Integration: Physically install and remove memory modules within enterprise-grade blade servers (Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant).
- Data Entry: Accurately log test results and document hardware failures within our internal systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling protocols.
- Shipping & Logistics Support
Provide essential assistance to the logistics department to ensure timely global distribution.
- Order Preparation: Construct shipping containers, pack high-value orders securely, and apply/remove shipping labels as required.
- Workflow Support: Maintain an organized warehouse environment and assist the lead shipping clerks with high-volume tasks.
Requirements
- Self-Motivation: A proactive professional who identifies pending tasks and remains productive without constant supervision.
- Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and vision for detailed refurbishment and hardware handling.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel) and a general interest in computer hardware.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Professionalism: Strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset., * High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification is a plus).
- Previous experience in Quality Control, Warehouse Operations, or IT Support.
- Familiarity with the basic components of a computer system.
