STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an Application Security Engineer on behalf of our client in Dallas, TX. We are looking for a security-focused professional with expertise in application security testing, test automation, and Secure SDLC practices. The ideal candidate will help strengthen application security by identifying and validating vulnerabilities, implementing automated testing solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, high-quality software delivery., Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise applications. Create and execute automated test scripts for both UI and API testing. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster software releases. Maintain reusable automation frameworks, script libraries, and testing standards. Perform application security assessments using SAST and DAST methodologies. Utilize security tools such as Veracode and Burp Suite to identify and assess application vulnerabilities. Validate security findings and verify remediation efforts to ensure compliance with security requirements. Partner with Development, QA, and Security teams to embed secure coding practices throughout the Secure SDLC. Analyze test results and security findings, providing recommendations to improve application security and overall software quality. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Hands-on experience with application security testing and vulnerability validation. Strong experience with SAST and DAST tools, including Veracode and Burp Suite. Solid understanding of Secure SDLC principles and secure coding best practices. Experience developing and maintaining UI/API test automation frameworks. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS clearance. Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent. Experience supporting security compliance, governance, and audit initiatives. Knowledge of enterprise application security frameworks and modern software development practices.
