Software Developer

We're experiencing significant growth as a business and are now looking for an experienced and technically strong Software Developer with the ability to research, design, develop and implement new ideas, products and systems. We are an all-encompassing team which allows freedom to challenge the norm whilst creating robust, scalable and maintainable solutions for our clients.

This role would suit someone who can contribute at a senior level, helping shape technical direction, promote best practice, support architectural decision-making, and mentor other developers within the team. You may have experience of using .NET in server side infrastructure, Node.js on the front end, and Swift or Kotlin in mobile.

About you:

· Strong commercial experience in a software developer role, ideally with experience contributing to technical direction, architecture and delivery standards.

· Ability to design and develop engaging user interfaces that are intuitive, visually appealing, and maintainable.

· Optimise the performance of front-end and back-end systems to ensure fast, reliable and seamless user experiences.

· Collaborate with the wider team to implement new features, tackle problems creatively, review technical approaches, and develop new tools.

· Ability to mentor, support and guide other developers, helping to raise standards across the team.

· Good understanding of software architecture, scalable design principles, clean code, maintainability and long-term system evolution.

· Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks would be beneficial, along with exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and technical documentation writing.

· Strong analytical and problem solving development skills.

· Ability to communicate well and work effectively within a software development team or independently.

· Good understanding of system development methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.

· Distributed source control with git.

· Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.

· Knowledge of formal design patterns, when to apply them, and how to balance best practice with pragmatic delivery.

· Specialised knowledge in one or more of the following technologies:

o Front end: React, React Native/Expo/Native Modules, Vue, Typescript

o Back end: Node.js/Express, .NET, Docker, OAuth2, SQL, SIP
