Job description

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining and developing the information technology infrastructure and network systems. You will perform IT system troubleshooting and maintenance, educate users on new technological products, deploy hardware and software systems., * Responsible for IT hardware support through troubleshooting and maintenance of desktops, printers, and other IT devices within the organization.

  • Analyzes, develops and maintains computer applications, procedures and other systems that satisfy the needs of the user departments.
  • Participates in upgrade and implementation of new software by following test cases and scripts and assisting department staff with testing and training.
  • Reviews, evaluates and implements requests from user departments.
  • Identifies and assist in the education of staff regarding IT devices and software applications.
  • Maintains a high level of interaction with all areas to continually enhance/improve patient care.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Electronic Health Record applications and recommendations in initiatives to support and enhance systems.
  • Consistently offers direction and assistance to others in a courteous manner.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own actions.
  • Ensures compliance with all organizational policies, and ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Continuously improves knowledge and skills through active participation in continuing education and training opportunities.
  • Unscheduled absences and tardiness do not exceed the organizational guidelines.
  • Accepts reassignment and additional duties, when necessary, in a flexible and positive manner.
  • Comply with facility Standards of Behavior and complete all required education assignments within the designated timeline.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree - Preferred
  • 2+ years successful experience with computer information systems, software applications and providing support to users
  • Required knowledge, skills, abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong customer service principles.
  • Have a solid understanding of clinical workflows., * While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, converse, and listen; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a regular basis and be able to push/pull over 25 pounds on a regular basis.
  • The employee must be able to stand and/or walk at least five hours per day.
