Job description
The Batching/Blending Technician is responsible for handling ingredients, maintaining filters, and preparing product for bottling by mixing ingredients according to established quality procedures and SAP. This role ensures timely supply of blended product to production lines and supports maximum product recovery while maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards., * Follow all safety policies, GMPs, and required PPE standards in warehouse and production areas (including hairnets, safety glasses, hearing protection, slip/oil-resistant shoes, gloves, and forklift seatbelts).
- Adhere to all food quality and food safety standards, including SQF, FDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, Allergen, and Kosher requirements.
- Train and certify on batching/blending equipment within assigned areas.
- Ensure product quality and integrity during production to meet customer specifications.
- Transport and pre-weigh ingredients using a forklift as required.
- Verify ingredients against SAP, food safety, quality, and inventory requirements before batching.
- Program bulk ingredient delivery systems.
- Follow batching/blending sheets, add proper ingredients accurately, and maintain precise documentation.
- Obtain blend tank samples and coordinate with Quality for testing and adjustments.
- Complete all required batching/blending documentation and submit for review.
- Maintain sanitation of work areas and perform CIP/COP cleaning of tanks, lines, and equipment.
- Remove empty barrels/bins and assist with unloading bulk concentrate tankers.
- Report any non-compliance, product protection concerns, food safety issues, or safety hazards to management.
Requirements
- Experience in a high-speed beverage production environment preferred.
- Formal training in SAP, HACCP, GMPs, Hygiene, etc., preferred.
- Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs.
- Strong mathematical ability for measurements and formulas.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Strong understanding of production schedules and lab testing.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to improve yields and reduce out-of-spec product.
- Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve operational issues quickly.
- Basic computer skills for production software and data logging.
- Ability to analyze data and optimize process parameters.
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to participate in audits and inspections.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred., * Frequently: standing/sitting, lifting 50 lbs., carrying weight, walking.
- Occasionally: stooping, kneeling, crouching, forklift driving, stair/ladder climbing.
- Requires strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
