Job description

Background: Vectrona is seeking an experienced Navy expeditionary professional with extensive training management and operational readiness expertise to support MESG-1's Force Generation mission. The successful candidate will work closely with MESG-1 N7, MESTEU, subordinate Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadrons, and other Navy stakeholders to monitor readiness, improve training management processes, and ensure standardized execution across the Maritime Expeditionary Security Force enterprise.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in Navy readiness reporting, training management, deployment certification, and expeditionary operations. This individual should be comfortable working directly with senior military leadership while providing analytical support, readiness assessments, and recommendations that improve operational effectiveness.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contractor advisor supporting Echelon V and VI Training Officers on training policy, instructional methods, plans, and best practices.
  • Monitor, review, and update unit training and readiness status within the Expeditionary Readiness Assessment System (ERAS).
  • Support development of Naval messages communicating readiness status throughout the chain of command.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Representative (SMR) supporting deployment certification activities and readiness evaluations.
  • Evaluate command, unit, and individual readiness in coordination with MESG-1 N7 and MESTEU personnel.
  • Provide quality assurance oversight of training pipelines for incoming Sailors and recommend improvements to training processes.
  • Coordinate scheduling of ranges, facilities, equipment, and training resources supporting the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual readiness reports identifying trends, gaps, risks, and recommendations.
  • Analyze Reserve manpower utilization and Individual Augmentee training requirements supporting Global Force Management readiness.
  • Participate in readiness working groups, planning conferences, certification events, and senior leader briefings.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen training standardization and operational readiness across the MESF enterprise.

Requirements

  • No minimum education requirement is specified in the Performance Work Statement.
  • Relevant military education, professional military education (PME), or Navy expeditionary training is highly valued.
  • A bachelor's degree in organizational leadership, Military Studies, Business Administration, or a related discipline is desirable but not required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

Required

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of operational, training, and readiness experience supporting warfare-qualified personnel, preferably within Navy expeditionary or Maritime Expeditionary Security Force communities.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience using the Readiness and Cost Reporting Program (RCRP) and/or Expeditionary Readiness Assessment System (ERAS).
  • Proficiency with Advanced Skills Management (ASM).
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing executive correspondence, readiness reports, and senior leader briefings.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple commands and stakeholders in support of training and readiness initiatives.

Highly Desired

  • Recent experience supporting Maritime Expeditionary Security Force or Navy Expeditionary Combat Command organizations.
  • Experience managing deployment certification programs and readiness assessments.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP)
  • Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP)
  • Expeditionary readiness reporting
  • Navy training management processes
  • Range and resource scheduling
  • Training pipeline management.
  • Experience supporting operational assessments, inspections, and certification events.

  • Experience leveraging commercial or Government-approved Artificial Intelligence tools to improve readiness analysis, reporting, and program management.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with operational commands while effectively communicating with senior military and civilian leadership., * Recent experience supporting Maritime Expeditionary Security Force or Navy Expeditionary Combat Command organizations.
