Job description

LUC Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and improving products from concept through production while working closely with customers, manufacturing, and project teams. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing reliable, high-performance products., * Design and develop new products and custom-engineered solutions using 3D CAD software.

  • Create detailed engineering drawings, models, and product documentation.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical designs.
  • Work closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are optimized for production and cost efficiency.
  • Support prototype development, testing, validation, and product qualification.
  • Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and material selection.
  • Review and improve existing products for performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to sales, production, and quality teams.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, bills of materials (BOMs), and revision control.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4+ years of product design experience
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
  • Experience creating manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Strong understanding of machining, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines., * Experience designing products for oil and gas, subsea, industrial, or high-reliability applications.
  • Knowledge of elastomers, connector systems, electrical assemblies, or pressure-containing components.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and FEA.
  • Experience with prototype development and product testing., * Bachelor's (Required), * Mechanical Engineers: 4 years (Required)
