Job description

We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and hands-on IT Support Technician to oversee and support the Firm's IT function across all office locations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, takes ownership of tasks, and is confident working independently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving the Firm's IT infrastructure, supporting staff with day-to-day IT issues, and ensuring systems remain secure, efficient and reliable., * Maintain and support the Firm's case management system: Partner for Windows (Tikit)

  • Provide hands-on support for hardware, software and IT-related issues across the Firm
  • Manage user accounts, onboarding and IT setup for new starters
  • Deliver Partner for Windows training and general IT guidance to staff
  • Ensure the availability, integrity and performance of all IT systems and networks
  • Oversee regular system updates, backups and software licensing
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and implement proactive security measures
  • Support GDPR compliance, cybersecurity and data protection requirements
  • Manage third-party IT suppliers and software providers
  • Lead IT projects including upgrades, migrations and infrastructure improvements
  • Assist with management and maintenance of the Firm's websites
  • Travel between office locations when required
  • Carry out additional IT duties as reasonably required

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an IT support, IT management or similar hands-on IT role
  • Experience managing or taking ownership of an IT function
  • Knowledge of Partner for Windows (Tikit) or other legal case management systems would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, networks, hardware, cloud systems and cybersecurity
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a strong "can-do" approach
  • Someone who is practical, responsive and able to get things done efficiently
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical users
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
  • A willingness to continue learning and developing within the role
