Job description
You will be embedded in customer projects as the primary interface between the customer's mission teams and our technical teams. You will define solutions, guide engineering, and ensure delivery in complex, high-security settings, across use cases from chatbots and RAG agents to perception, object detection, and autonomous systems.
What You'll Do
- Lead discovery sessions and solution workshops with defence and law enforcement agencies; translate pain points into actionable solution concepts.
- Define TEVV roadmaps (testing, evaluation, verification, validation) tailored to GenAI and Computer Vision use cases, and adapt them across modalities.
- Prioritize features for the technical team based on mission value and delivery constraints.
- Contribute to our Approved Intelligence Platform and AI Solution Quality Index (ASQI), including the open-source ASQI Engineer project.
- Work with Software Engineers, ML Scientists, and UI/UX designers to ensure solution quality; manage cross-functional delivery, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
- Navigate procurement and support proposal or tender responses.
Requirements
-
~5+ years as a Solution/Software/Cloud Architect or senior engineer designing customer-facing products or platforms, with a track record of growing accounts or converting opportunities into delivered engagements.
-
Strong software engineering foundation: you can read code (e.g. Python), understand API structures, and validate technical feasibility yourself.
-
Familiarity with AI use cases like chatbots, RAG, agents, perception, and autonomous systems.
-
Strong requirements gathering, stakeholder communication, and solution scoping.
-
Understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle and current approaches and limits of testing and validating complex models.
-
Experience engaging senior stakeholders, Director to C-suite.
-
Demonstrated ability to sell or scale technical engagements, not just deliver them. You can open new conversations with prospective customers and turn them into scoped work.
Nice-to-Have
- Technical background in ML, AI engineering, or data science.
- Hands-on experience with AI tooling (e.g. LangChain, YOLO, Hugging Face, FiftyOne) and evaluation frameworks (e.g. LangSmith, PromptBench, VBench).
- Background in police, law enforcement, or defense consulting (e.g. gov/defense-focused advisory or delivery work), with direct exposure to government procurement (RFIs, RFPs).
- Prior security clearance at Government CONFIDENTIAL or above.
