Job description

  • Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the functionality matches the requirements
  • Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team membersProvide technical support to project team members and responding to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs

Requirements

  • This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment.
  • You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements.
  • You should be a strong 'utility' type programmer with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel, * BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or applicable programming area of study
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years prior work experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation
  • 5+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC and/or Spring Boot.5+ years of experience in with Database access methods and SQL constructs
  • 3+ years of experience with Build & Deployment tools such as Maven, GIT, Terraform a plusDemonstrated a commitment to quality, writing unit tests with Junit and Mockito
  • Proficiency in Analysis, Design, Build, and Deployment of Java applications and MicroservicesA desire to continue to learn and pick up new technologies and skills, * Experience with container based deployments such as Kubernetes, Docker, Docker Compose, Vagrant is a plus
  • Understand Asynchronous and Synchronous messaging. Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, MDBsWork experience with any of the following PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Linux/UNIX Shell Programming, Python is a plus
  • Work experience in developing Web Applications with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js,CSS, HTML, Bootstrap is a plus
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience within Financial Services industry including banking, wealth management, investment management, asset data and investment processing is preferred
