Job description

  • Coordinates unique learning opportunities with other teachers

and contractors.

  • Creates unique ways to drive central tenets of: Digital

Responsibility, Virtual Citizenship, and Being Safe in the

Technology World.

  • Supports a range of learning to access 21st century content

including language access, enrichment/extension

  • Exceptional knowledge of technology systems including Google

Office Suit, Smart and Promethean Boards.

Instructional Guide

  • Deliver classroom instruction aligned to the Georgia Standards of

Excellence.

  • Submit grades into Infinite Campus on a bi-weekly basis for families to

review.

  • Create warm, rigorous exploratory learning experiences for K-5 scholars

during their scheduled time.

  • Implement and grade monthly assessments to monitor scholar growth.

  • Implement IEP and BIP accommodations with fidelity related to

exceptional learners.

  • Communicate with families once per month using ParentSquare.

  • Communicate monthly with the ExPedition Day lead teacher to monitor

program implementation.

Whole Child Supports

  • Create a warm-welcoming environment for all scholars by developing

morning and afternoon Crew structures.

  • Model MACS High Five Habits for scholars.

  • Communicate to scholars alongside MACS High Five Habits to ensure

positive behavior management techniques.

  • Use appropriate digital platforms to monitor scholar well-being including

Infinite Campus, LiveSchool, and ParentSquare.

  • Complete all annual required trainings related to scholar safety and well

being including neglect and abuse.

Communication

  • Respond to family questions or requests within 24 hours.

  • Complete weekly newsletter within ParentSquare.

  • Host office hours for family visits and communication time.

  • Offer parent-teacher conferences.

  • Ensure all communication within MACS is aligned to expected employee

practices.

MACS Vendor

  • Accept Net 30 payment terms for all monthly invoices.

  • Receive quarterly feedback related to the contract.

  • Work 3 days per week to implement content with fidelity.

  • Monitor MACS employee to respond to emails from families.

  • Uphold the MACS vision to create whole, healthy, happy people ready for

the 21st century for scholars and colleagues.

  • Flexible with changing schedules across semesters.

Requirements

Many educators are looking for more flexibility, thus MACS is interested in partnering with individuals who seek either Full Time or Contractual Employment. The individual and MACS would discuss the schedule and design type which works best for them both.

21st Century Learning/Skills

  • Knowledge and ability to implement the Georgia Standards of

Excellence for Computer Literacy Skills.

  • Ability to create unique project based learning opportunities for

K-6 scholars., * Bachelor's Degree Required.

  • Either hold a Georgia Teaching Certificate or be willing to start path

towards certification (Provisional Certificate)

  • Either hold or be willing to obtain a Gifted or ESOL endorsement

  • Experience working with Elementary Aged Children

  • Clear Criminal Background Check

  • Authorized to Work in the United States

  • Strong communication abilities

  • Strong technical skills

  • Exceptional Hiring Skill: Bilingual or Multilingual

Experiences:

  • 1-2 years working in the elementary/middle school setting.

  • Experience working in inclusive classrooms across at the elementary level.

  • Interpreting IEPs and BIPs to ensure learning is maximized.

  • Desire to continuously learn and increase effectiveness as a professional

  • Unwavering commitment to MACS's mission and willingness to go above

and beyond to meet the needs of MACS scholars, families, and staff
