Job description
The Global Technical Expert Combine Residue Management will be responsible as technical expert for residue management systems (for all CNH combines: conventional, hybrid & rotary). She/he is responsible for the technical executions/configurations and functional performance of the residue mgt package including the supporting structure for surrounding systems. (carry Engine Platform, Ladder, …) He/she is not only working on new concepts in cooperation with innovation and platforms but as well supporting current products. Reliability & durability of the residue mgt components are as well fallen under the responsibility of the global technical expert., Responsible for the design assumptions of residue management. Will "translate" the program requirements into design assumptions/technical specifications. Support design engineers for design, layout and drawing activities related to residue management. Determines the functional layout with the team and is responsible for the functionality and the quality of the concepts. Technical responsible for drawings/models which are developed and released to production. Is capable to forecast functional capacities of current & new concepts from CNH industrial designs and competition. Responsible for functional/technical support to manufacturing, service, marketing, ... on residue management and training roll outs in entire PE. Responsible for the TRL (Technology Readiness Level) of residue management and the technical roadmap, including mapping of systems, commonality between systems and platforms, status of today, summary of past developments. Supports the platforms for current & new products, quality improvement, cost reductions, CPI design and manufacturing issue resolution support related to residue management. Align with Chief Engineers on technical solutions that support GPD programs. Identify and collect information pertinent to engineering calculations to analyze and resolve design/functional problems. Work effectively with cross-functional teams of individuals on complex problems.
Requirements
Agronomic skills/background Mechatronic knowledge as electronics Precision knowledge (mapping of data) Familiarity with Creo, FMEA, DOE, EDEM, FEA, Pugh Concept selection and test procedures is desirable. Excellent written and oral communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Must be available to travel to field test sites (Global) as required (20% or more). Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in mechanical, civil or agricultural engineering and 5 plus years' experience in crop harvesting or other engineering activities where crop is processed. Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or agricultural engineering and 7 plus years' experience in crop harvesting or other engineering activities where crop is processed. What We Offer
