Job description
As Student Support Administrator, you will be at the heart of YorLinc's student support operations, making sure students can access their allocated Non-Medical Help quickly and efficiently. From guiding students and support workers through the process to gathering documentation and keeping records accurate, this is a role where your organisation makes a direct difference to students' lives.
You will report to the Student Support Manager and work as part of a small, supportive team based in our Lincoln office. If you enjoy bringing order to a busy workload, like helping people, and can confidently manage competing priorities, you will fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and encourage students to take up their allocated Non-Medical Help provision
- Contact students to gather the documentation needed and keep paperwork moving promptly
- Maintain accurate student records, databases, and electronic filing systems
- Make sure documentation is stored correctly and in line with company procedures
- Support NMH support workers with administrative queries and resolve issues where you can
- Liaise with students and support workers to keep support running smoothly
- Produce reports on student numbers, NMH provision, and service activity when needed
- Handle email correspondence and respond promptly to students, support workers, and colleagues
- Keep internal systems updated with accurate, up to date student information
- Support the wider administration team with general duties as required

- Students move quickly and smoothly from allocation to active support
- Records and systems are accurate, current, and reliable
- Documentation is gathered promptly so nothing stalls a student's support
- Support workers feel well supported and able to do their best work
- Students consistently experience YorLinc as responsive, organised, and easy to deal with
Requirements
- At least one year's experience in an administrative role
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Confident using Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
- Excellent organisation and customer service skills
- Calm under pressure, with a track record of meeting deadlines
- A genuine enjoyment of helping people and building positive working relationships
- Strong initiative and a problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team
- Excellent attention to detail and the discipline to keep confidential records accurate
- Experience in DSA, higher education, or disability support is an advantage but not essential

Working Hours
- 37 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Office-based in central Lincoln, closed weekends, bank holidays, and over the Christmas period
