Job description

We are looking for an organised, proactive and enthusiastic Desk Support Officer to join our busy Lancaster office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administration, communicating with people and working in a fast-paced environment.

You will play a key role in supporting our recruitment consultants by helping to coordinate staffing, maintain accurate records and ensure excellent communication with both our care staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact care staff to confirm availability and assist with shift bookings.
  • Update and maintain staff and client records accurately.
  • Prepare, organise and manage documentation.
  • Send shift confirmations and updates via email and telephone.
  • Support the consultant team with general administrative duties.
  • Maintain accurate databases, ensuring information is kept up to date.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both staff and clients.

Requirements

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Comfortable speaking with people over the phone and managing email correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
  • Previous administration, customer service or coordination experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided., * GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
