Job description

As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will drive the technical success of advanced motion control solutions by designing, integrating, and optimizing complex robotic and linear systems. You will serve as a key technical resource, ensuring that high-performance automation components are effectively selected and implemented to meet rigorous customer application requirements. Responsibilities

  • Design and troubleshoot sophisticated linear motion systems utilizing servo and stepper motor dynamics.
  • Perform precise load calculations to ensure optimal sizing and selection of motors, drives, and feedback sensors.
  • Program and commission PLC systems using IEC 61131-3 standards to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Construct and wire electrical control panels while interpreting complex schematics to resolve operational issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional sales and engineering teams to provide technical guidance and custom design solutions for unique client challenges.
  • Tune motion control systems to achieve maximum efficiency and precision in diverse industrial environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience with servo and stepper motor control, including drive configuration and system tuning.
  • Strong proficiency in reading electrical schematics and hands-on control panel wiring.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical integration issues in a fast-paced environment., * Experience with C++, C#, or Visual Basic for advanced software integration.
  • Familiarity with linear motion components such as actuators, profile rails, and ball screws.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing technical support or application engineering role.
