Job description

Communicate with other Court and county departments and other agencies to ensure compliance with necessary reporting requirements. Perform required duties in accordance with Bucks County Adult Probation/Parole Department policies/procedures, Court policies/procedures, and state and federal laws, rules and regulations., * Answer and address telephone inquiries from the public, defendants, attorneys, and other agencies or offices in a high-volume, stressful work environment.

  • Research case information and follow-up within established procedural practices.
  • Enter, receive, access and update data on computer per established guidelines and requirements.
  • Work independently on difficult tasks. Plan, organize and prioritize work duties within established parameters.
  • Maintain statistical data for evaluation purposes for submission to the County or to the State.
  • Communicate with staff and other Court departments regarding violation hearing listings, changes, and updates. Provide assistance on violation hearing dates and monitor outcomes.
  • Communicate with staff, other Court departments, and defendants regarding Enhanced Collection hearing listings, changes, and updates. Provide assistance on hearing dates and monitor outcomes.
  • Perform data entry into the required department and state reporting database applications, such as SGS web, Pennsylvania State Police and NCIC, to ensure compliance with state and other governmental requirements for case information.
  • Perform work related to maintaining compliance with Act 44 of 2023 probation reforms as required.
  • Assist with making adjustments to supervision fee assessments as required.
  • Perform related work as necessary and other tasks assigned.

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in social sciences preferred. High school diploma or equivalent with related work experience acceptable.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and have own car.
  • Strong telephone, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to self-start, organize and complete work without supervision.
  • Strong administrative skills, with at least 2 years' experience in a public or private agency.
  • Must possess proficient computer skills (Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft word processing programs).
