As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll design, build, and maintain Azure-based data solutions that provide accurate and reliable data for reporting and decision-making. Using T-SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure SQL Server, you'll develop data pipelines that bring together information from multiple sources and ensure it is stored securely, organised effectively, and easy to access.

You'll also maintain Azure SQL databases, improve data quality, and help ensure data is available when it's needed. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll play an important role in delivering reliable data solutions that support both day-to-day operations and future business needs.

As a minimum, you'll need the following to be considered;

  • Experience building and maintaining reliable data pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Server.
  • Good T-SQL skills, including database design, stored procedures, and query optimization.
  • Experience adding data validation, monitoring, logging, and reconciliation to data pipelines.
  • Understanding of secure data architecture and handling sensitive personal data.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, version control, and CI/CD processes.

Benefits & conditions

  • Circa £56,000 salary
  • Hybrid working arrangement - 1-2 days per month on-site.
  • 27 days' holiday a year (plus 8 bank holidays)
  • Flexible start and end working times
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Salary sacrifice schemes for bikes, cars and tech!
  • Discounts on gyms, cinema, retail and much more!
  • Above the statutory minimum for maternity, adoption and paternity leave.
