Job description
As a Product Owner, you'll be working with our Product team and will be instrumental in shaping and delivering our product strategy as aligned to our company vision, helping us remain at the forefront of HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Onboarding, Benefits, Employee Engagement, & Performance technologies.
Your key focus areas will be
Squad Alignment & Delivery: Successfully translating and delivering the product vision and roadmap through your dedicated engineering squad.
High-Value Backlog Prioritisation: Balancing business goals, technical feasibility, and customer desirability to maintain a highly optimised, prioritised backlog.
Cross-Functional Launch Execution: Collaborating across Sales, Marketing, Support, and Professional Services to ensure seamless product launches and customer rollouts.
This will include
- Roadmap Delivery: Monitoring, adapting, and delivering the product vision and roadmap while navigating constraints and driving continuous improvement.
- Backlog & Sprint Management: Prioritising user stories, managing release/sprint workload planning, and handling customer feedback and complaints.
- Design & Tech Collaboration: Partnering with Product Designers for best-in-class UX, and working with Technical Architects and Developers to ensure feasible, viable solutions.
- Testing & Performance: Collaborating with engineers and leadership to test, measure performance, and feed results back into future roadmap planning.
- Go-To-Market Alignment: Working with Sales and Marketing to develop launch collateral, and partnering with Support and Services on rollout and implementation plans.
- Stakeholder Communication: Gathering accurate requirements and concisely communicating project status, ideas, and issues transparently to both your squad and wider business stakeholders.
Requirements

- Product Ownership Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in product management, ideally within a high-velocity, fast-growth product team.
- Strong Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to critically analyse data samples (experience with big data is a plus!) to extract actionable insights and inform product decisions.
- Technical Specification Skills: Experience writing well-defined Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), setting clear acceptance criteria, and simplifying complex technical problems into structured delivery phases.
- Engineering Collaboration: A proven track record of working directly with engineers and technical squads to successfully build and ship software products.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: The ability to align diverse, cross-functional teams and build consensus in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Autonomy & Agility: A hungry, creative, and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work autonomously and thrive amidst ambiguity.
- Relevant Education: Undergraduate qualifications in Business Systems, IT, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics) preferred.
