Job description
- Design, architect, and optimize complex RF systems and subsystems including RF analog and digital systems
- Take a system design through component selection, system drawings and documentation, and integration and test with a focus on RF optimization
- Work closely with Mechanical, PCB Design, Antenna, Software, DSP, Firmware, and Production Engineering teams throughout the full product lifecycle
- Lead system design reviews and technical discussions; conduct and participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, and designs
- Build prototypes, products, and systems for testing; set up and run laboratory simulations
- Develop system-level requirements, specifications, and perform RF link budget analysis and system trade studies
- Design testing procedures and coordinate testing; create test plans to validate systems meet design requirements
- Create comprehensive system documentation including design specifications, test plans, technical reports, papers, and presentations
- Support deployment, field integration, ongoing technical support, and system maintenance
- Assist with planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective fashion
- Contribute to design standards, support design reuse, and identify novel technical concepts and markets
Requirements
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (ABET/EAC Accredited)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical/computer engineering with a focus on RF design
- Strong understanding of RF theory, propagation, and system architecture
- Proven track record of delivering complex RF systems through all development phases
- Interpersonal skills required to work with others and communicate effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure for quick-reaction projects with minimal supervision
- Must be organized
Desired:
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Hands-on prototyping and assembly experience
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout
- Digital Signal Processing (DSP) experience
- Software Defined Radios (SDR) experience
- Experience using Altium Designer
- Military Vehicle Electronics or equivalent industrial applications
- Experience with RF simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST, ADS)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$86,600 - $181,800
