Job description
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to support the development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for our Power and Control Actuation Systems business unit. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in software engineering with hands-on experience in embedded software development or hardware automation. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software design and hardware execution, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our testing systems., In this role, you will participate in the creation of System Requirements Documentation and support the full development lifecycle through PDR, CDR, validation, and fielding. You will author robust Software Design Documents and Test Plans, while designing high-level GUI Windows Applications in C# using Visual Studio. Additionally, you will develop firmware in C using TI's Code Composer and program laboratory equipment like power supplies and oscilloscopes to automate testing. Finally, you will troubleshoot complex issues within test equipment systems, determine Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA), and collaborate closely with outside vendors.
Requirements
This position requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, alongside proven experience in Test Engineering and test systems utilizing a Test Console and Interface Test Adapter (ITA). Due to the nature of our contracts, US Citizenship is required.
Candidates must be proficient in Visual Studio, MS Visio, C#, C, LabVIEW, MS SQL, or SQLite. Familiarity with diverse communication protocols is essential, including Analog/Digital I/O, IEEE-488, I²C, SPI, USB, CAN, RS-485/422/232, TCP/IP, and J-TAG., Strong candidates will also bring experience in test equipment hardware selection, electrical schematic generation, EEE parts selection, and PCB layout using OrCAD or LT Spice. Experience with LabVIEW Real-Time and LabVIEW FPGA, as well as project planning and reporting, is highly desirable., * Automated Test Equipment: 2 years (Preferred)
