Job description
As a Senior Design Engineer, your duties will include but are not limited to:

Leading the design and development of innovative products and systems from concept to production, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Utilizing your expertise in mechanical design, systems, statistics, and engineering to solve complex problems and create efficient, cost-effective solutions.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, sales, and marketing, to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and align with company objectives.

Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from initial design to end-of-life, ensuring all stages are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Performing statistical analysis to monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and safety of our products and systems.

Staying abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations, and applying this knowledge to your work.

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in mechanical design, systems, products, statistics, engineering, and manufacturing in the fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing industry. You will be a vital part of our engineering team, responsible for designing and developing new products and systems, improving existing ones, and ensuring the overall quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree or professional engineering (PE) certification would be an advantage.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, systems, products, statistics, engineering, and manufacturing, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

Proven experience in designing and developing innovative products and systems, from concept to production.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and statistical analysis.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop effective solutions.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.

Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.

A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
