Job description

  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining industrial networks
  • Collaboration with enterprise network and server teams to manage interfaces at the network edge
  • Configuring and managing Cisco-based networks
  • Configuring and managing industrial managed switches
  • Collaboration with process automation engineers to specify and configure industrial network interfaces and endpoint devices

Requirements

  • 5+ years IT/OT networking experience in industry. Experience building and validating networks for GMP use is strongly preferred.

  • BS Engineering

  • Detail oriented with strong technical aptitude and desire for learning new technologies.

  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to Instrumentation and Controls, as well as IT/OT network security and operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to design, deploy, and maintain process control system networks, managing connectivity to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems, thin clients, networked I/O, and externally hosted systems.

  • Expertise with the design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network architectures based on both virtual and physical devices, and understanding of control system network topology.

  • Experience with high-reliability networking, including redundancy strategies and resilient topologies.

  • Knowledge of network equipment specification, installation & troubleshooting, and control panel design, check-out, commissioning & troubleshooting.

  • Preferred certifications:

  • CCNA

  • Security+
