Theorem is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Technical Architect to own the solution architecture, design, development, and evolution of scalable enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and leadership capability. They are naturally curious, possess high learning agility, and excel at translating business outcomes from executive and non-technical stakeholders into technical concepts and solutions. This individual will operate comfortably across strategy and execution-guiding architecture decisions, modernizing engineering practices, and remaining close enough to technology to influence design, delivery, and innovation.

Success in this role requires expertise in cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, modern .NET development, AI-augmented engineering practices, and enterprise-scale software design, alongside the ability to mentor teams and influence technical direction across the organization.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Technical Architecture & Engineering Leadership

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade applications and distributed systems using modern Microsoft technologies including ASP.NET Core, C#, and .NET 6/7/8.
  • Define and govern architectural standards, engineering frameworks, coding practices, and technical design principles across multiple engineering teams.
  • Design scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performing cloud-native solutions aligned to business strategy and long-term platform evolution.
  • Establish and maintain architecture roadmaps that support scalability, maintainability, extensibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply modern architectural patterns and methodologies including CQRS, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture, Microservices, API Gateway patterns, and SaaS platform design.
  • Lead technical design reviews, architecture reviews, and code reviews to ensure engineering quality and alignment to standards.
  • Drive system observability, reliability, performance optimization, and technical debt reduction initiatives across platforms and services.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to align technology decisions with business priorities, operational goals, and product strategy.

AI-Augmented Engineering & Innovation

  • Champion the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and related technologies.
  • Introduce scalable AI-enabled workflows to improve development efficiency, documentation, testing, code quality, and engineering productivity.
  • Establish governance, standards, and responsible usage practices for AI-assisted software development.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and engineering trends to continuously modernize the organization's technical capabilities.
  • Mentor engineering teams on effective use of AI tools, prompt engineering, and modern development acceleration

Collaboration, Delivery & Organizational Leadership

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, UX, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned to product and business objectives.
  • Translate highly technical concepts into clear, business-friendly communication suitable for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide strategic technical guidance during planning, prioritization, roadmap development, and enterprise decision-making.
  • Identify technical risks, scalability concerns, security vulnerabilities, and architectural dependencies early in the delivery lifecycle.
  • Support Agile delivery methodologies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical estimation, release planning, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Serve as a mentor, coach, and technical advisor to engineers and emerging technical leaders across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning across distributed global teams., * Invests in the growth and development of engineering talent through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, and enterprise application development.
  • Proven experience leading architecture and technical delivery for large-scale enterprise, SaaS, or product engineering environments.
  • Strong experience designing and deploying cloud-native solutions within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Experience working with distributed global engineering teams and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Active practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows within software development environments is required., * ASP.NET Core, C# 10+, .NET 6/7/8
