Job description
Responsible for the operational support, security, and lifecycle management of network infrastructure supporting Cook Nuclear operations. This role focuses on incident response, task execution, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure refresh activities, ensuring compliance with NERC CIP standards and regulatory requirements., + Provide day-to-day support for network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls) in a regulated environment

Respond to and resolve network incidents, outages, and service degradation

Execute operational tasks and configuration changes in accordance with change management and NERC CIP requirements

Perform lifecycle refresh activities including hardware/software upgrades and replacements

Identify, track, and remediate network vulnerabilities in alignment with NERC CIP cybersecurity standards

Support firewall configuration and maintenance (Cisco ASA, FTD, Fortigate)

Ensure compliance with NERC CIP controls including access management, configuration management, patching, and audit readiness

Maintain documentation to support regulatory audits, evidence requests, and compliance reporting, The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S - Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Requirements

5-7+ years of network operations or engineering experience in a large enterprise or regulated environment

Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, and firewall technologies

Experience supporting incidents, lifecycle upgrades, and vulnerability remediation programs

Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security best practices

Experience with network monitoring and logging tools (SolarWinds, Splunk)

Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management)
Preferred Experience & Skills

Experience in NERC CIP, Nuclear, or other highly regulated environments

Experience with IPAM/DDI solutions

Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification

Benefits & conditions
