Job description

As a Field Product Support Technician, you will work alongside our Technical Support Teams to carry out product support on CAME's range of products distributed with the UK. You will liaise across all operational aspects from, field support, customer technical support via the telephone, assisting external/internal sales teams with technical queries and general business activities requiring technical solutions.

We need someone who is a clear thinker and measured decision maker in this hands-on role. Organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously are must have skills, to be successful in this role! As a Field Product Support Technician, you will not only get the chance to join us in providing the very best service to our customers through site visits and assisting with general customer enquiries, but also the opportunity to be in a role that involves huge amounts of variety and the chance to get involved in other elements of our Technical Services Division!

The role will involve technical support on the following range of products sold by CAME UK;

  • Intercom - Audio & Video
  • Access Control - Cloud & Local
  • Automation - Barriers, Gates, Turnstiles, Bollards, Road blockers

Whilst not essential, experience installing or supporting intercom and access control systems would be advantageous. Familiarity with door entry systems, audio/video intercoms, access control readers, and management software would be beneficial, particularly where this includes troubleshooting network-connected devices and supporting user access permissions.

More important to us, though, is finding someone who is eager to learn and adaptable. We value individuals who can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to quickly develop expertise in new technologies, products, and processes. Full training will be provided, and we believe the right attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to grow within the role are just as important as previous industry experience.

  • The variety of a field and office based role, providing our customer with the best possible technical support
  • Providing technical support to our customers out in the field, through site visits.
  • Assisting the Technical Support team with general technical queries, when in the office
  • All while gaining support from our knowledgeable and experienced directors, senior management team and Internal Teams, who all pull together no matter what the job at hand is!

Requirements
