Job description
The ICT Systems Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and availability of training systems and associated ICT infrastructure. This role involves diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues, maintaining system integrity, and providing technical support during training events. The position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders., * Hardware and Software maintenance across all devices on site
- Provide support to all system and networking requirements
- Involved in the installation and configuration of devices, new and existing.
- First point of contact on site for resolution of technical issues
Requirements
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments and network fundamentals
- Strong experience in ICT systems maintenance and technical support
- Ability to work on site, 5 days a week at HMAS Stirling
- Ability to obtain/maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance - must be an Australian Citizen!
Preferred Qualifications
- Comp TIAA+, Network+ and Linux Certifications
- Diploma in Electronics, Information Technology or Computer Networks
