Job description
Inspiration Trust is looking for two reliable, dynamic and responsible persons to work as ICT Technician to provide installation, maintenance development and administrative support for our school's IT resources.
What You'll Be Doing
- To provide flexible technical support across the Trust, with a focus on technician absence cover, school-based technical support, project work, onboarding, device preparation, classroom technology and urgent operational support.
- When in school, be a contact point for IT Support of incidents, standard requests and problem management.
- Provide a professional, customer-focused support service with a focus on continual service improvement.
- Attend scheduled school visits where additional capacity is required and complete agreed checks such as device audits, classroom checks, patching reviews and asset validation.
- Support technical projects across schools.
- Assist with classroom technology upgrades, migrations, device rollouts and network changes.

Requirements
The role will be based in Inspiration Trust Central Offices with travel across the Trust. Therefore, reliable transport and the ability to travel independently to multiple locations are required., The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of hardware and software, as well as good communication and problem-solving skills. You should take pride in responding quickly and effectively to all support requirements and take an open approach to help everyone get the best out of the school's IT Systems. You will also have a passion for continuous learning, high attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Essential:
- At least GCSE's grade 5 to 9 or equivalent in: Maths, English, and ICT, preferably A-level and degree qualification in ICT.
- Experience supporting interactive displays or classroom AV.
- Windows Support: Confident troubleshooting Windows 10/11 devices.
- Microsoft 365: User-level and support-level knowledge of Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook.
- Hardware: Ability to diagnose common desktop, laptop, peripheral and classroom AV issues.
- Networking basics: Understanding of Wi-Fi, IP addressing, cabling and basic connectivity checks.
- Cyber awareness: Understanding of password security, MFA, phishing, patching and device compliance.
Desirable:
- Industry Standard IT certification, including CompTIA (A+, ITF+), Cisco Certified Technician (CCT), M365 Fundamentals, Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA).
- Experience using Intune, Autopilot or imaging tools.
- Microsoft Fundamentals certification or equivalent.
- Flexible and willing to work across multiple sites.
