Job description

Technology plays a critical role in everything we do-from our warehouse and production operations to eCommerce, retail, marketing, customer service, and product development. We're looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator who enjoys creating organized, secure, and highly efficient technology environments. If you're the type of person who notices inefficiencies, enjoys improving systems, loves cybersecurity, and takes pride in keeping technology running flawlessly, we'd love to meet you., The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, security, maintenance, and optimization of the company's technology infrastructure. This role supports approximately 50 employees across multiple departments and works closely with our Technical Operations team to ensure our systems remain secure, compliant, organized, and scalable as the company continues to grow. This is a hands-on position responsible for everything from employee onboarding and device deployment to cybersecurity, Microsoft Intune administration, server management, permission auditing, networking, and IT documentation. This position reports directly to the Technical Operations Manager.

What You'll Do

Identity & Access Management

  • Onboard and offboard employees across all company systems
  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts
  • Assign software licenses
  • Configure multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Perform recurring permission audits
  • Maintain least-privilege access across all platforms
  • Manage offshore contractor and vendor access

Microsoft 365 Administration

  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Manage Microsoft Intune
  • Maintain Microsoft Defender security policies
  • Monitor Secure Score and implement improvements
  • Deploy security policies and compliance rules
  • Manage Windows virtual machines

Google Workspace Administration

  • Manage user accounts
  • Configure Groups and Shared Drives
  • Manage Google Workspace security settings
  • Maintain organizational structure and permissions

Apple Device Management

  • Manage Apple Business Manager
  • Deploy and enroll MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones
  • Configure Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Maintain device inventory and lifecycle

Cybersecurity

  • Continuously improve the company's security posture
  • Administer LastPass Enterprise
  • Improve password health and security scores
  • Monitor security dashboards and alerts
  • Conduct quarterly access reviews
  • Coordinate vulnerability remediation
  • Assist with cybersecurity compliance initiatives
  • Help prepare for cyber insurance audits

Security Awareness & Training

  • Deliver IT onboarding for all new employees
  • Train staff on password security and MFA
  • Conduct ongoing cybersecurity awareness training
  • Coordinate phishing awareness campaigns
  • Maintain IT security documentation and policies

Endpoint Management

  • Configure and deploy company computers
  • Maintain hardware inventory
  • Ensure devices remain compliant and encrypted
  • Install software and updates
  • Troubleshoot workstation issues

Network & Infrastructure

  • Maintain office Wi-Fi and networking equipment
  • Support firewalls, switches, VPNs, and internet connectivity
  • Monitor infrastructure health
  • Assist with server administration as our environment expands

Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Monitor backup success
  • Perform periodic restore testing
  • Maintain disaster recovery documentation
  • Ensure critical business data remains protected

IT Documentation

Maintain accurate documentation for:

  • Network diagrams
  • System configurations
  • Asset inventory
  • Software licensing
  • Standard operating procedures
  • Vendor contacts
  • IT policies

Continuous Improvement

Requirements

Required

  • 3+ years of Systems Administration or IT Administration experience
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Experience managing Google Workspace
  • Experience supporting macOS and Windows
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Experience with endpoint management
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Outstanding written documentation

Preferred

  • Apple Business Manager
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Microsoft Defender
  • LastPass Enterprise or similar password manager
  • Windows Server administration
  • Virtual machine administration
