Job description
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the acquisition, storage and reporting of performance metrics for all of our Five Star Franchising brands. This includes, but is not limited only to:
- Marketing and prospect data and metrics.
- Lead attribution by location.
- Quotes, invoices, payments and other sales funnel metrics by location.
- Top line sales by location and brand.
Your primary objective will be to work with Project Managers and Brand Ops teams to complete data acquisition and reporting projects for each of the brands. You will work with CRM vendors to find API or other access to and validate data, and the Five Star Franchising executive team to create and update enterprise level reporting.
The Data Engineer will report directly to the CTO. This is a full time position requiring the candidate to work from our offices located in Springville, Utah.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and Building Data Infrastructure: Creating and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and data processing systems. We use Snowflake, and AirBytes.
- Data Collection and Storage: Ensuring efficient and reliable collection of data from various sources.
- Data Transformation and Processing: Transforming raw data into usable formats for analysis and other applications. We use Looker for reporting.
- Data Quality and Governance: Implementing measures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Collaboration: Working with the executive team, brand ops and marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver relevant data solutions.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitoring data systems for performance, security, and reliability.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues related to data infrastructure and processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years experience in a data analytics or engineering role, such as Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar position.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into reports and other visualizations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, airbytes, Looker and other cloud and data storage solutions.
