We are building a modern family of SaaS products specifically engineered for the civic and government sectors. We are preparing to launch a brand-new, AI-powered website and CMS platform tailored for government entities. The platform is close to completion, and we are looking for a dedicated Senior Engineer to take the reins, run it in production, and fully own its future lifecycle. The Role
This is a position for a builder who wants true product ownership. You will be the technical anchor for this platform-ensuring it remains rock-solid in production while driving ongoing enhancements and steady weekly improvements. If you thrive on the responsibility of keeping a system running flawlessly, understanding your users, and continuously perfecting a live product, this is your seat., * Product Ownership & Evolution: Take full ownership of a near-complete AI-powered CMS platform. Drive the technical roadmap, implement new features, and squash bugs across the entire stack.
- AI-Assisted Engineering: Act as an AI power user, seamlessly integrating LLMs into your daily development workflow to accelerate engineering, code generation, and problem-solving.
- Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture: Manage, scale, and evolve our growing AWS footprint. Leverage AWS CDK and direct AI tools to automate and orchestrate cloud infrastructure.
- Production Operations: Own the operational health of the platform. Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, uptime, incident response, and production support protocols to ensure government-grade reliability.

Our development workflow is heavily AI-native, requiring a developer who knows how to pair effectively with AI to maximize output and maintain a velocity that matches a solo product owner.
- Monorepo Architecture: TypeScript, pnpm, Turborepo
- Backend & API: Node.js (v22), Node service APIs, Prisma ORM

- Data & Caching: PostgreSQL, Redis
- Infrastructure & DevOps: AWS, AWS CDK, Docker (for local development)
Requirements
- AI Power User: You build with AI in the loop every single day. You don't just use LLMs for basic autocomplete; you know how to direct them to perform robust, real-world engineering work efficiently.
- Strong AWS & CDK Infrastructure Skills: Deep understanding of how AWS infrastructure and services interlock. You have proven experience utilizing AWS CDK to automate, deploy, and scale infrastructure.
- Operational Monitoring & Production Support: A strong DevOps mindset. You take uptime personally and possess a proven track record handling alerting, monitoring, and live incident response.
- Solid Software Engineering Fundamentals: Strong generalist development skills across the full stack. You have the architectural grounding to confidently lead enhancements and maintain code quality in a fast-paced environment.
