Network Engineer II

As a member of the infrastructure team, the Network Engineer II is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and operational support of all aspects of the LAN/WAN infrastructure consisting of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, load balancers, monitoring systems, and structured cabling., * \tMonitors and analyzes the availability and performance of the network, ensuring that it is maintained to the highest standards

• \tRecommends and implements solutions for network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless, and other network systems and services
• \tResponsible for the resolution of complex network problems; performs as an escalation resource for more junior engineers and other teams; escalates to more senior engineers and/or vendors as needed for prompt problem resolution
• \tParticipates in incident management, asset management, change management, project management, and root cause analysis documentation and remediation
• \tDocuments the technical details of the network environment and related systems and services
• \tInteracts and coordinates with clients and vendors to foster a satisfying customer service relationship
• \tParticipates in on call rotation for after-hours and weekend support
• \tTeam player; trains and mentors new team members

Strong hands on exp with Cisco switch config, wireless LAN, network IP addressing, and first-hand config build and verification exp. Hybrid schedule local to LA, * \t5+ years hands-on experience in the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multi-protocol networks

• \tActive certifications such as CCNA and CCNP preferred
• \tLarge enterprise experience with a significantly complex multisite infrastructure, hospital experience a plus
• \tFirsthand experience in configuration and administration of routing and security protocols (BGP, OSPF, IPSec, SSL, etc.)
• \tExperience with design, implementation and support of the following:
• \tCisco and Juniper switches and routers
• \tCisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper firewalls
• \tCisco wireless controllers and access points; Cisco Prime
• \tLoad balancers, Netscaler a plus
• \tForeScout CounterACT a plus

Salary: $55 - $75 per hour
