Job description
We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and test real-time embedded systems supporting advanced launch vehicle programs. This role involves working across the full software development lifecycle in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in C/C++ development within real-time and Linux-based environments., * Develop and support real-time embedded software across the full SDLC
- Participate in requirements definition and system architecture development
- Design, code, unit test, and integrate software components
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and validation of embedded systems
- Ensure adherence to software engineering standards and best practices
- Work within RTOS-based environments for mission-critical applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and test engineers
- Support integration and system-level testing activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Strong Object-Oriented programming experience in C/C++
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based development environments
- Experience in embedded real-time software development and debugging
- Familiarity with RTOS (e.g., VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or similar)
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with processor architectures such as PowerPC, ARM, or RISC-V
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing
- Experience integrating software with hardware systems in lab environments
- Experience building interfaces for complex system integrations
