Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, optimizing warehouse operations, and ensuring accurate data analysis to support supply chain efficiency. Your proactive approach will help streamline processes, improve stock accuracy, and facilitate seamless order fulfillment.   • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP to track inventory levels and transactions
  • Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement process improvements
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize sourcing strategies and negotiate supplier contracts
  • Perform data mining and visualization using Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen tools to identify trends and inform decision-making
  • Manage logistics inventory, including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling
  • Support demand planning and production scheduling through data analysis and forecasting models
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory control, stock levels, and cycle counts using spreadsheets and inventory management software
  • Lead category management initiatives to optimize product stocking, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, and logistics operations
  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as AS400), SQL, and Excel data analysis tools
  • Expertise in data visualization platforms including Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen analytics tools
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract management
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively
  • Skilled in materials handling equipment operation such as forklifts; forklift certification preferred
  • Familiarity with demand planning, production scheduling (MRP), and supply chain analytics
  • Experience with e-commerce logistics, 3PL providers, shipping & receiving procedures
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating across departments and managing supplier relationships
  • Technical proficiency in inventory control software, spreadsheets, SQL queries, and data collection methods
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments
