Job description

We are seeking a highly collaborative and business-focused professional to serve as a key liaison between global initiatives and the North America Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This role is responsible for translating global project governance, standards, and guidelines into actionable regional execution while ensuring successful adoption and long-term sustainability across North America. As part of the Global Competence Center (GCC), reporting directly to the Team Leader,Data & Analytics, this position will gather business requirements, actively manage stakeholders, and support the implementation of global data and analytics initiatives. This is not a purely technical role. It is a highly visible, business-facing position that requires a strong regional presence, effective communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders to ensure project success, governance compliance, and organizational adoption of data and analytics solutions., * Serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and Data & Analytics teams, translating business objectives, processes, and challenges into clear technology and reporting requirements.

  • Partner with leaders across multiple departments to optimize business processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance data-driven decision-making through modern reporting solutions.
  • Drive the adoption, governance, and standardization of Data & Analytics platforms, reporting solutions, and best practices across North America while aligning with global KOKI standards.
  • Develop a deep understanding of internal customers, business operations, and regional requirements to deliver impactful data and analytics solutions.
  • Support the continuous evolution and improvement of KOKI's data ecosystem by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, data accessibility, and business insights.
  • Lead and manage regional and global Data & Analytics projects, ensuring successful execution in alignment with KOKI IT strategy, project governance, and delivery standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, gathering requirements, providing consultation, and driving stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Competence Center (GCC), ERP teams, and cross-functional business groups to ensure alignment between regional needs and global initiatives.
  • Promote the adoption of modern technologies and analytics tools, including Power BI, Snowflake, AI, and emerging data solutions, through training, coaching, and user enablement.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. data privacy regulations while supporting the integration and management of local and external data sources.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to local business analysts by combining regional business expertise with in-depth knowledge of KOKI's global data platforms and data assets.
  • Advocate for North America business requirements and ensure local processes are accurately reflected within global data models, reporting frameworks, and analytics solutions.
  • Provide hands-on support for business applications, reporting needs, and process improvements to ensure timely issue resolution and user satisfaction.
  • Strengthen the global "follow-the-sun" support model by partnering with teams across North America, Europe, India (GCC), and Japan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a global organization and collaborating with cross-functional business and technology teams is preferred.

· Ability to communicate in Japanese, a plus.

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong knowledge of modern data and analytics ecosystems, including Snowflake, Power BI, SQL, and Data Modeling.
  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting data integration processes, including extracting, transforming, harmonizing, and loading (ETL/ELT) data from multiple source systems into cloud-based data platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakehouse architectures, and modern cloud data concepts, including Medallion architecture.
  • Experience evaluating, recommending, and implementing data and reporting solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Proficiency in Python and a strong interest in leveraging AI-driven technologies and analytics solutions.
  • Previous experience with ERP analytics, business consulting, or enterprise reporting environments is a plus.
