Job description

SSM Industries, Inc. is looking for an organized, responsive, accountable and efficient IT Director to develop, maintain and oversee all aspects of IT services and to maintain and build IT infrastructure across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude and demeanor to work and must possess broad based IT skills and experience along with organization, effective oral and written communication, prioritization and problem-solving skills. The candidate is expected to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive company and client information and to exercise a high level of discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential matters.

Travel Expectations: The position is based at Corporate HQ - Neville Island, PA. Some local travel can be expected to Latrobe, PA every two months and overnight travel to Carlisle, PA and Wilmington, DE every two months. Additional travel may be required to help set up remote site locations as necessary.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Systems Administration and Security:

· Administer Google email

· Administer strong security practices for all IT systems and devices

· Administer and configure cloud-based appliances

· Administer backup solutions for all related data

· Purchase, install, repair and manage all wired and wifi networks

· Adjust, maintain, and create site network configuration/wireless network systems

· Maintain and troubleshoot the system interfaces of shop-based fabrication machines including plasma table, laser cutters and automatic welders.

· Maintain site-to-site and client VPN networks.

· Identify and eliminate security risks

· Manage and maintain device security and ensure compliance with organizational policies

· Backup and manage all files, user file security and user profiles

Support and Device Management:

· Administer, maintain and configure Windows PCs

· Manage company help desk

· Assess need for new equipment and/or software.

· Purchase, inventory and repair all computers, laptops, tablets and accessories.

· Purchase, install and maintain all Corporate Software (online accounts included) including:

Autodesk Bluebeam

Foundation MSuite

AS400 System Misc. Drafting Software

Microsoft Office BuildOps

Adobe Evolve

· Purchase, inventory and repair and stock consumables for all printers and plotters.

· Set up remote field offices with appropriate network, hardware and software

· Manage cellular data accounts and devices.

· Manage building security systems across multiple locations.

· Manage cloud-based phone system and internet (Full Service Network) across multiple locations.

· Manage all servers and related equipment with assistance from outside resources.

· Oversee the design, installation and maintenance of all equipment and software used in the security enclave.

· Manage security in the CUI enclave

· Communicate within IT team and across departments as needed

Training and Documentation:

· Develop and provide training to staff on IT systems and security best practices

· Maintain up-to-date documentation for IT processes, configurations, and support guidelines

Requirements

· Robust and wide understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems

· Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills

· Ability to prioritize and manage tasks/projects and escalate issues to manager

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Outstanding verbal and written communications skills

· Network systems and cloud-based networking

· Ability to synthesize information and make independent decisions

· Manage and adjust processes as business expectations change and evolve

· Initiative and the ability to adapt to a changing environment

Qualifications and Experience:

· Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred

· Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT systems administration or a related role

· Administrative experience with Microsoft Systems
