Step into a hands-on cybersecurity role supporting a complex identity environment with a focus on access management, compliance, and operational excellence. This onsite opportunity offers the chance to work with enterprise identity tools, troubleshoot critical access issues, and contribute to security initiatives that help protect users and systems across a large organization. Responsibilities
- Administer and support Active Directory, including user and group management, access permissions, and file share security.
- Manage provisioning and deprovisioning activities across multiple systems and platforms.
- Serve as an escalation resource for access and security issues not resolved by the service desk.
- Support security standards and help ensure alignment with internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Investigate user access concerns, identify issues, and help develop practical solutions.
- Assist with data cleanup, normalization, and ongoing updates within Active Directory.
- Support role-mining and role-development activities as needed.
- Communicate clearly with teammates, stakeholders, and management to keep work moving forward.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or university degree.
- 2+ years of experience in security administration or Active Directory account administration.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory and file share permissions.
- Strong understanding of user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access control concepts.
- Working knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID.
- Foundational knowledge of PowerShell or another scripting language.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting.
- Ability to create, update, and improve processes and documentation as requirements change.
- Familiarity with information security policies, standards, and governance controls.
- Experience working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Comfort working in secure, complex computing environments.
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of AWS and Linux/Unix environments.
- Exposure to identity governance tools such as SailPoint IIQ/ISC or Saviynt.
- Experience with privileged access management solutions such as CyberArk, Delinea, or BeyondTrust.
- Familiarity with Splunk or similar security monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale hybrid identity environments.
- Ability to contribute to process improvements and operational documentation.
