Job description
Blitzy is seeking a highly experienced Senior Security Engineer who operates at the level of a Security Architect to unify our security strategy as we scale our agentic software development platform. This is a visionary technical leadership role: you will provide clear visibility into emerging risks, drive large-scale mitigations, and strengthen our future security posture through applied security R&D. Given the nature of our platform, this role carries a heavy emphasis on product security and the security of machine learning ecosystems, spanning both stochastic and non-stochastic software.

- Executive leadership has consistent, prioritized guidance for mitigating security risks across partner organizations, informed by your technical advisory.
- Production systems benefit from mature anomaly detection, prevention, and autonomous fault detection capabilities.
- Long-term risks in machine learning and AI ecosystems are addressed through comprehensive, forward-looking security strategies.
- Blitzy is recognized for industry-wide security improvements, driven by novel vulnerability research and advanced security controls.
Areas of Ownership
- Unify organizational security strategy by identifying current and emerging threats across both stochastic and non-stochastic software.
- Lead offensive and defensive security initiatives spanning cryptographic, cloud, and machine learning platforms.
- Act as a key technical advisor to executive leadership, establishing consistent, prioritized guidance for mitigating security risks across partner organizations.
- Oversee production security engineering, with a specific focus on anomaly detection, prevention, and autonomous fault detection.
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to address long-term risks in machine learning and AI ecosystems.
- Foster industry-wide improvements by conducting novel vulnerability research and developing advanced security controls and features.
- Design and architect robust digital security devices and platforms for high-stakes environments.
Requirements
- Advanced degree preferred (MSc in Security Informatics, PhD in Computer Science, or closely related field) or equivalent depth of hands-on experience
- Extensive proven experience operating as a Security Architect, Senior Security Engineering Manager, or Technical Security Advisor at scale.
- Exceptional skills in executive leadership, security strategy, and product security.
- Deep expertise in machine learning security, vulnerability research, self-healing systems, and cryptography.
- CISSP or equivalent certification/experience strongly preferred

- A strong background in applied research, ideally with a history of committee involvement or publications related to LLM personalization, privacy-preserving architectures, or neural networks.
- Demonstrated experience architecting security for high-stakes, production-grade environments at scale.
- A track record of translating deep technical research into practical, enterprise-ready security controls.
Benefits & conditions
Compensation: $180,000 - $325,000 (bonus + equity, commensurate with experience)
