Database Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Database Developer for an onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC; Pennington, NJ; or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity., We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer with strong Oracle and ETL development experience to design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle databases, complex SQL/PLSQL development, ETL frameworks, data integration, performance tuning, and data warehousing concepts. This role requires close collaboration with application teams, business analysts, architects, and data engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions., * Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database objects including tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and materialized views

• Develop and support ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple source systems
• Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting
• Design and implement data integration solutions and data quality controls
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions
• Support production deployments, release activities, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with application development teams to ensure optimal database design and integration
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, audit, and data management standards
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when needed

• Proven expertise in Oracle Database development
• Strong experience with SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with ETL Development (Informatica, DataStage, ODI, or SSIS)
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts
• Experience with Performance Tuning and query optimization
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and Shell Scripting
• Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and technical leadership abilities

Desired skills:

• Experience with Oracle Exadata
• Experience with Microsoft SSIS

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
