Job description
The Senior IT Asset Analyst is responsible for the comprehensive management of the company's IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from initial procurement to final disposal. This position will lead all IT procurement efforts, ensuring the acquisition of technology assets and services aligns with company policies and value-based purchasing standards. The role demands a strategic approach to managing both the physical and contractual aspects of IT assets, with a focus on optimizing value and mitigating risk., * Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
- Inventory and Policy: Develop, implement, and maintain a complete inventory of all IT assets, and establish the governing policies and procedures for IT asset management.
- Software and License Compliance: Manage all software licenses to ensure full compliance with vendor agreements, and conduct regular tracking to prevent over- or under-licensing.
- Procurement and Vendor Negotiation: Lead all IT procurement activities, including negotiating with vendors for the purchase of hardware, software, and services to secure favorable terms.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with IT vendors, monitoring performance to ensure service level agreements are consistently met.
- Cost and Optimization: Drive the optimization of technology-related expenditures and identify potential opportunities for significant cost savings.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work in close collaboration with the IT, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless asset and procurement processes.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate and present detailed reports on asset
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT asset management and procurement.
- Strong skills in negotiation and vendor management.
- In-depth knowledge of IT hardware, software, and licensing.
- Experience with asset management and procurement software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
