Requirements

Location: Ft Washington, VA * In addition to primary duties at Ft. Washington, MD, the candidate may be required to provide rotational Sys Admin support in the Pentagon from 6 am to 2:30 pm, or 10:30 am to 6 pm.* Clearance: TS/SCI Education: BA/BS ( or an AA/AS plus an additional 4 years of work-related experience) Outcomes: The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes during the first year in the position: Formally track all tasks, to include assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request. Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks. Create 2-3 products beyond the client's requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation. Establish foundation in AI/ML skills and contribute to AI/ML operationalization and modernization goals and objectives. Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days. Use government provided Generative AI tools on a day-to-day basis to accelerate tasks, research, documentation, analysis, planning, reporting, and problem solving. Make recommendations on process improvements and practices that improve quality, speed and/or efficiency. Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the team's effort to develop business process re-engineering recommendations based on current acquisitions processes and information flows to and from the intelligence community. Meeting with the management team to assess and define the system requirements. Analyzing network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems. Developing and designing network architecture and computer systems infrastructure. Overseeing the development, installation, configuration, and administration of computer systems. Managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation. Monitoring computer systems and networks for viruses, malfunctions, and errors. Troubleshooting technical issues and developing effective solutions. Preparing network analytics, data reports, and operational manuals. Use government provided Generative AI tools on a day-to-day basis to accelerate tasks, research, documentation, analysis, planning, reporting, and problem solving. Make recommendations on process improvements and practices that improve quality, speed and/or efficiency. Training the engineering team on new systems, protocols, and best practices. Qualifications: The candidate must have the following qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years work-related experience. Of those 5 years, at least four (4) years of work-related experience supporting a component of the Department of War (DoW)-aligned environment. Experience as a Systems Engineer. Security+ or DAWIA equivalent certification. Graduate of an ABET-accredited systems engineering program. Joint Staff experience. The following qualifications are desired: Knowledgeable and skilled in applying Generative AI. Experience in IT systems integration. Experience in Database integration techniques. Experience in Data visualization. Systems engineering tools (Sparx EA, Cameo, Core, etc). Enterprise architecture development. Knowledge of JCIDS, PPBE, and DAS. Process mapping, e.g. BPMN or other.
