Job description
Together with the R&D department and/or the Senior Technical Advisor provides technical support on electrical systems (Dive, ROV) of OEG. The Technical Support Engineer shall consult with the Senior Technical Advisor during the project preparation phase. During execution of the project the Technical Support Engineer shall verify his findings with the Senior Technical Advisor or R&D department.
Key roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate or create the preparation of documentation of new designs or projects.
- Co-ordinate and assist with integration of new designs or projects to workshop.
- Provide technical support to Assets, Projects and Commercial Departments.
- Support R&D department on developments and integration of developments.
- Create CAD drawings (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) based on project requirements or design requirements.
- Review documentation (procedures, drawings etc).
- Fault finding/troubleshooting.
- Analyse and diagnose recurring faults in systems and identifying potential solutions.
- Specify minimum standards/equipment required for new projects or designs.
- Work within the company's procedures for health and safety, operations and quality assurance.
- Follow the development in ROV's and in the electrical and electronic engineering fields and to offer suggestions for changes in policy.
- Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performances against standards.
- Responsible for compliance with SCC (VCA) and ISO standards.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in a technical environment.
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.
- Knowledge of CAD programs such as but not limited to:
- AutoCAD (Electrical) or
- Solidworks (optional)
- Good knowledge of industry standards and relevant legislation., Middle technical education degree (MBO) or Higher technical education (HBO) in electrical/mechanical engineering.
- SCC (VCA) certified.
