Job description

Binary's support team are front and centre and handle most of the exciting and challenging questions our customers ask! Our team need to be calm under pressure, excellent listeners, good at drawing information out of people and be able to easily move between tasks, all the while clearly communicating with both the Binary team and the customer. We are not just looking for someone to answer the phone, but someone who will genuinely get to know and engage with our customer and get a kick out of getting to the bottom of the issue and making our customers happy. When we say customers, we're not talking about 1,000's of angry broadband customers who can't get "on the wifi", we sell Microsoft Enterprise software to businesses across the UK, Ireland and USA. Our customers have worked closely with us for years and you'll be speaking to the same people regularly so you really get to know them and what they need from their systems and from us. And just because we've said support, that doesn't mean every call is a problem. The support team handles training, requests for new features, and manages the testing process for upgrades. It's a busy team and there is never a dull moment!

Requirements

We're looking to grow our Harrogate team by adding a junior support agent. This is an entry level role, so we are looking for someone who is either just leaving school or just finished university or college and wants to begin a rewarding career. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

· An obvious interest in technology and computing

· Teamworking skills

While this role does not require any other formal qualifications a desirable candidate would have the following:

About the company

We're a respected software development company in Harrogate, poised to expand so we can cope with an ever-increasing workload. We've got a reputation for pushing Microsoft Dynamics (that's what we sell) to its limits, on complicated global projects that frighten other people off. We're small, versatile and like to focus on getting things done quickly - always to a higher standard than our (larger) competitors. At Binary, we believe in the principles of Agile development. We prefer rapid prototyping and lively client workshops, to churning out wasteful documentation. That said, we do things properly so expect to work with large, well-known clients like TUI Group, Screwfix, Whitworth Bros, Harrison Spinks, Synergy Food Flavours, as well as local innovators like I'Anson Brothers.
