Job description

We are seeking a senior-level Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer & Database Administrator to manage, migrate, and optimize mission-critical cloud and database infrastructure. Role Breakdown

  • Position: Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer / DBA
  • Location: Richmond, VA (109 Governor St.)
  • Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (5 days a week)

Requirements

  1. Database Architecture & Upgrades (Mandatory)
  • 10+ years of hands-on Oracle Database experience, specifically with 19c and 26ai.
  • Proven experience executing database upgrades from 19c to 26ai.
  • 10+ years of experience migrating databases from Solaris to Linux (11g/12c).
  • Deep expertise in CDB/PDB, PDB cloning, RMAN (backup/recovery), and Data Guard.
  • Database patching using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 24ai Fleet Management.
  1. Cloud & Middleware Infrastructure
  • Strong hands-on experience with OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) and DBaaS.
  • 7+ years administering Oracle WebLogic Server 12c/14 and Fusion Middleware.
  • 5+ years of administration and support for Oracle APEX (v18+) and ORDS (v22+).
  1. Automation & DevOps
  • Proficiency in Ansible scripting and GitLab / GitLab CI pipelines.
  • Strong Linux/Unix shell scripting skills (Python/JavaScript are a plus).
  1. Cross-Platform & Support
  • Highly Desired: 5+ years of Windows Server, SQL Server, and IIS administration.
  • Ability to provide 24/7 production support, performance tuning, and disaster recovery execution.
